    Jose Antonio, Ph.D. is the CEO and co-founder of the International Society of Sports Nutrition (www.theissn.org); furthermore, he is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and National Strength and Conditioning Association. He was the 2005 recipient of the NSCA Research Achievement Award and has published 12 books and over 40 peer-reviewed scientific publications.

    He is the host of two radio shows that include the Performance Nutrition Show with co-host, Carla Sanchez, (www.pnshow.com) and the Strength-Power H our with co-host, Dr. Bill Kramer, (www.sphour.com).

    Dr. Antonio is on the Advisory Board of Informed Choice and has given lectures on sports nutrition throughout the world. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Sports Nutrition Insider, the first and only trade publication dedicated to the sports nutrition industry, and Inside Fitness magazine, and is a regular contributor to Ironman, Muscular Development, and Fitness Rx Men/Women.

    Dr. Antonio completed a Ph.D. and post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas Texas.

    Sgt. Jim Vaglica has a B.S. Degree in Law Enforcement and is a Certified Police Academy Instructor. He has been a Police Officer for 25 years, Patrol Sergeant for 13 years and SWAT Operator for the past 12 years with NEMLEC SWAT/RRT.

    He's an avid martial artist, competitive athlete and achieved his CSCS from the NSCA in 2001.

    Sgt. Vaglica was presented the George L. Hanna Award in 2006.

    John has completed certifications with nationally recognized organizations including the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), United States Weightlifting (USAW) and the International Sport Sciences Association (ISSA).

    In addition, he is a Poliquin International Certification Program (PCIP) Level I Trainer and a Z-Health Level I Certified Trainer. He's a nationally recognized trainer, strong man competitor, and lecturer.
    John is head S&C coach for Tap Out Training Center in Boston MA. John also runs the popular Built For Battle Blog, which focuses on the training needs of MMA fighters.

    Bill Campbell Ph.D. is an assistant professor at the University of South Florida where he is the director of the Exercise and Performance Nutrition Laboratory - a research laboratory solely dedicated to the scientific investigation of sports nutrition.

    Dr. Campbell has studied the effects of some of the most popular dietary supplements and their effects on skeletal muscular hypertrophy, fat loss, and exercise performance. Dr. Campbell is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is a fellow of the International Society of Sports Nutrition.

    Lonnie Lowery, Ph.D. is an Exercise Physiologist and Associate Professor of Nutrition. He has authored a number of lay and scientific articles and book chapters, sits on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Exercise Physiologists, acts as Senior Editor of that organization's newsletter, and is a member of the American Society of Nutrition (ASN) and the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN).

    As a speaker, he has presented internationally and at medical grand rounds on topics ranging from proteins to lipids to athletic recovery. Dr. Lowery is licensed to practice nutrition in the State of Ohio and coordinates an NCAA Division I Sports Nutrition program there.

    He is currently working with colleagues to develop a free, educational Internet radio program called IronRadio.com.

    Mark started his athletic career as a collegiate swimmer and rower at Colgate University in upstate New York. He went on to become a competitive tri-athlete and martial artist during his first (and short) career as a CPA in New York city during the late 1980's. In 1990 Mark left the suit behind and joined the Navy's SEAL Teams. He was honor-man of his training class and served for 8 years on active duty. Mark is currently a Commander in the SEAL reserves. Through his companies US Tactical, inc. (www.ustactical.com), NavySEALs.com (www.navyseals.com) and USCrossFit (www.uscrossfit.com), Mark has trained and mentored hundreds of Navy SEAL and other Special Operations candidates to physically and mentally succeed in the most demanding military training programs in the world. This knowledge is also offered to civilians through the SEAL Fit program at the SEAL Fit / USCrossFit Training Center in Encinitas, CA.

    Mark is CrossFit Level I certified, a SCARS level I certified hand-to-hand combat trainer, holds a black belt in Seido Karate, and senior belt ranking in Saito Nunjutsu and Goju ryu Karate. Mark is also teacher-training certified in Ashtanga Yoga and has developed an innovative program of Warrior-Yoga integrating Yoga and martial arts movements.

    Douglas Kalman, Ph.D. is a Director in the Nutrition and Endocrinology Division of Miami Research Associates (MRA). He has been active within the sports nutrition community for more than 15 years.

    Dr. Kalman has worked with professional, collegiate and high-level amateur athletes in and outside of the United States . Dr. Kalman is the Past Chair of the Nutritionists in Complementary Care-DPG and is a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition; a Spokesperson for: The International Society of Sports Nutrition, and The National Strength and Conditioning Association.

    His work has been published in text books and in scientific and popular press mediums. In addition, he is an Adjunct Professor in the Robert Stempel School of Public Health at Florida International University in Miami teaching Advanced Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, Obesity Management and acting as a Preceptor for the student interns.

    He is an active member of the following leading organizations ADA , APS, ACSM, NSCA, ACN, ISSN, and the ACRP.

    View His BlogDr. Peck is a sports medicine physician at Cleveland Clinic Florida in West Palm Beach. His medical training has included a medical degree from the University of Virginia, residency training at Baylor College of Medicine, and a fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. He also has a degree in exercise science and has spent over a decade studying the strength and conditioning literature. Dr. Peck is a life-long athlete in various sports, has competed in baseball, basketball, football, and soccer, and is an avid strength training enthusiast.

    Dr. Steve Moysey is an organizational psychologist who specializes in the areas of conflict resolution and crisis negotiation. Dr. Moysey's on-going research, writing and lecturing pays particular attention to law enforcement hostage stand-off situation. His earlier work on the Balcombe Street siege and the Iranian Embassy siege in London has appeared internationally in the Journal of Police Crisis Negotiations (Haworth).

    His latest book "The Road To Balcombe Street" examines the 14 month IRA bombing campaign in central London between 1974 and 1975 that resulted in the six day stand off between the four IRA men and the Metropolitian police.


    Elissa L. Pratt-Lowe is a former research associate with the University of California at Davis and holds B.S./M.S. degrees from UCD in Food Science.

    She's the author/co-author of over a dozen articles published in scientific journals. Elissa is currently a freelance writer, consumer advocate and moderator for the "Brink's Bodybuilding Revealed" and "Fat Loss Revealed" forums.

    Officer Best spent 10 yrs in police special operations as a team member and gang unit operator.
